Support our campaign to build a local artisan bakery! Help us create a place of love, flour, and water for everyone to enjoy.
Despite coming from opposite sides of the globe, we found ourselves neighbours in this little community, quickly bonding over our shared obsession with flour, fermentation, and flavour. What started as swapping recipes and loaves over the garden fence has grown into a partnership fueled by passion.
Doireann, originally from Cork, brings a wealth of global experience, having baked her way from the wild Isle of Mull to the coffee culture of Melbourne, Australia. Rebeca, originally from Brazil, brings a unique precision to the kitchen; formerly a pharmacist, she swapped the lab for the bakery and hasn't looked back since. Together, we are ready to bring our combined experience to you.

Simply put, we want to feed our community. Our goal is to establish a bakery that honors the environment as much as the ingredients. We are committed to using stoneground Scottish flours to keep our food miles low and our flavour high.
What’s on the menu? We are planning a range of breads, from our signature house sourdough to rich, dark ryes and crusty baguettes. And don't worry—it’s not just about the bread! We are currently finalising recipes for specialty pastries and biscuits. In fact, our neighbours in Fittie are currently hard at work on "tasting duty" to ensure every bite is perfect before it reaches you.

To bring artisan bread to Fittie, we need to turn our space into a fully functional bakery. Our biggest hurdle is equipment. We are raising funds for professional bread and pastry ovens, commercial refrigeration, and—crucially—a proving cabinet (because we all know the North Sea wind makes Fittie a bit too chilly!) We also need to stock the kitchen with all the essential tools of the trade, from heavy-duty mixers down to the cooling racks.
We have lined up some wonderful rewards to thank you for backing us:
• Wear Your Support: A limited edition T-shirt designed by the talented local artist Chris Graham - DFUNK ROBOT.
• Eat Your Investment: Options to pre-pay for bread credits to use once we open.
• Learn the Craft: Early-bird access to our hands-on baking classes.

A little more detail:
We are optimistic that, with your help, we will be baking by the spring of 2026. Our dream starts with Phase 1: Introducing a "Fittie Honesty Box" so neighbours can grab fresh loaves on their own schedule, alongside the launch of our workshops. By Summer 2026, we hope to move into Phase 2, expanding our capacity to feed even more of Aberdeen.
