We are raising funds to purchase fishing tackle to take out to the community in order to introduce fishing to youngsters aged 10 to 17.
Can you please help us provide the necessary fishing tackle to take around the community for Clearwater Anglers to deliver the "INTRODUCTION TO COARSE FISHING" coaching program.
Over the last two years this program has been successfully delivered across County Fermanagh by the Erne Angling Club. It has enjoyed an amazing take up of young participants across schools, clubs and organisations.
6 sets of fishing tackle for the youngsters to use.
Each set of tackle costs £675 and is carefully tailored for youngsters to use safely. and consists of:

The"INTRODUCTION TO COARSE FISHING"will run In Schools, Clubs, Group and Church Halls from 15th November 2025 to the 15th 0f March 2026, during which time we will deliver the program to over 150 children across County Tyrone. This indoor course is flexible with classes from 6 to 30 participants, therefore all groups across all backgrounds are catered for.
Coaches are provided and funded by NCFFI. All incidental costs (fuel etc) will be met by Clearwater Anglers.
There is a total lack of structured fishing opportunity in the county. Running this program will have a significant positive impact and give these children a real purpose to go and explore their beautiful surroundings while learning outdoor life skills.Parents and Guardians will love it too!
We expect many youngsters to become fully engaged with the sport, this will ensure a healthy growth for the club allowing junior members to progress through the varied stages of "SKILLS FOR LIFE" fishing activities within Clearwater Anglers AC..
There is NO COST to the participants to attend "INTRODUCTION TO COARSE FISHING" they may also join Clearwater Junior Anglers and use the equipment for free.
The equipment is expected to have a useful life of approximately five years and will be used after this program to further coach youngsters both indoors and outdoors.
