First Class Foundation

First Class Foundation was set up to do three things:

1) Reduce Youth Violence

2) Improve Mental Health Resilience

3) Connect young people and their families to their purpose

We have over 15 years experience of engaging with young people from the disadvantaged backgrounds aged 13-25, we know that the key to our delivery success is that we address the thinking, attitude and behaviors that leads to negatives activities/encounters.

We deliver diversionary activities

Including, holiday programmes, mentoring and the creation of safe spaces that culturally appropriate and psychologically informed.

Our exploratory evidence suggests that individuals from a variety of ethnic backgrounds respond positively to exposure to our work and develop increased social and emotional skills when working with us. They also say they value support delivered by people who have 'lived experiences', who ‘look like them and who understand 'where they are coming from'.

Supporting our charity not only means that you are supporting the young people who we come into contact with but also their families.   We provide parenting support to those impacted by the youth justice system, as well as serving those in need in more practical ways, including delivering care packages and food hampers. Signposting to bereavement support and providing access to a fund we have created by those who tragically loose a child or young person to youth violence. The work we do stretches across the West Midlands and wider, but we believe the needs are far beyond that.  Your support in whatever form, will make a massive difference.
