What is the product?
RD9115 is a fireproof, waterproof and soundproof fire membrane.
Why is it required in the construction industry?
Currently regulations dictate that for full compliance non-combustible materials must be used in projects above 18.50M in height.
There are no products on the market which can provide a systems approach to solving this issue of fire safety – materials are bought individually and do not provide a robust and cost effective method of complying with the regulations.
Using RD9115, we are able to provide the industry with a £48 saving per m2.
RD9115 provides a standalone solution to fire protection, waterproofing and soundproofing.

What does RD9115 do?
RD9115 replaces multiple construction materials in a typical external wall build-up.
RD9115 provides 4 hours of fire protection against 1000 degrees Celsius.
RD9915 also provides waterproofing and soundproofing.
RD9115 is a flexible membrane that can adhered to materials and is malleable to form any shape whilst remaining structurally rigid due to the reinforcement within the membrane.
RD9115 is 6mm thick and I produce three products: 1 hour, 2 hour and 4 hour fire protection membranes.
How to bring the product to market?
RD9115 has been subject to IFC (International Fire Committee) testing (BS 476) and has passed successfully.
I have a supply company (The RR Construction Group Ltd) set up to serve clients and this is the company I have used to approach clients.
This company also handles manufacturing and purchasing of raw materials outside of the UK.
Marketing has been budgeted for and a marketing vehicle is currently being implemented.
Support required from Crowdfunding
I am looking for £30,000.00 in order to supplement testing to bring the product to the façade market.
Testing is required to BS8414-2: 2015 to ensure compliance with the updated regulations.
