Now Fire Lily has finished post production, we want your help to get this important film to its audience, through film festivals & beyond..
We have already achieved incredible things in the making of this film. In our pre-production pitches for Fire Lily, we said that we wanted the story behind the lens to be just as powerful and inspiring as the one we tell in front of it. Now that we have completed post production, we can look back and see how that happened to a greater extent than we could ever have predicted:

In front of the lens, we have we made a film that has already been described by one reviewer as:
"Cinematic art at its best... FIRE LILY is a masterpiece for the visual and audio senses, but this film reaches past our eyes and ears, and reaches into the depths of who we are as mankind." - Ward Bond, Bond On Cinema
...and at a recent test screening as:
"a ground-breaking work of art"
"Transformative" "Mystical" "Visceral"
"a real expression of life energy, with a potent sense of hope"
"Magical" "an extraordinary experience" "Genre-breaking"
"Prescient." "Disruptive" "...depicting beauty, courage, risk..."
And behind the lens? The production itself was an incredible transatlantic collaboration, between the UK and the USA, written in Brixton and shot in Cleveland, Ohio.

Together with our charity partners, WIFT, Ohio and Tender Heart Crusades, we ensured that, out of the 58 credited cast and crew:
On top of that, we gave opportunities to 25 young people in Cleveland (with WIFT, THC and Y.O.U.) and London (with LoveArts and Brixton Youth Theatre) to not only be part of the production, but also to participate in free training in filmmaking. This included a 6 week course for 10 teenage Y.O.U. interns in Cleveland who were paid to attend and learn skills, and ended up making their own documentary "See The World Through Our Lens", which recently screened at an international film festival in Ohio. Some of the interns also came to help on the Fire Lily shoot itself, alongside three students from the Tri-C Cuyahoga Community College, seeing their learning brought to life on a real film set!

In London, a LoveArts project gave 12 teenagers from Brixton Youth Theatre the chance to record with House Gospel Choir and our Exec Producer Alesha Dixon, on the spine-tingling song we use in the final scene of the film.

All of the young people involved will be credited in the film and therefore also on IMDb, which is a valuable starter for a career in film and tv.
Of course, the journey of Fire Lily does not stop there. We have already begun submitting to Oscar and BAFTA qualifying international film festivals, and we need funds for those submissions, for publicity and for screenings, in order to connect this important to as large an audience as possible. We also have many deferred costs that we still need to pay off in order for the film to be officially fully financed.
Please check out our exciting rewards (including tickets to our first screening event in July) and help Fire Lily as it begins to blossom!
