The cost-of-living crisis is overwhelming for many people. Anyone can be affected - everyone can help.
Our aims are the advancement of education, the relief of poverty and the advancement of health or the saving of lives.
We help anyone who is disadvantageous, homeless, refugees and asylum seekers. We also work with any vulnerable people who need support and advice, information and guidance.
Community impact
Over the last 10 years we have been supporting our community and city through our social outreach programmes. These include our foodbank that currently supports over 50 people per months, giving them essential food and toiletry items to support through a crisis. We collect over 100kg of surplus food from supermarkets each month and distribute it to those who need it, both preventing the waste of food and preventing food poverty.
We support those who may struggle throughout the school holidays with food initiatives such as breakfast with board games which provides a free hot breakfast with other families to create friendship and community.
Everything we do is to support those in most need.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We need crowdfunding because the number of people coming tour organisations for support has risen exponentially since Covid pandemic and is still increasing. Many of the people asking for our support are first-time service users: savings and resilience exhausted, challenges growing, and hope ebbing away as they teeter on the edge. Even settled and secure home lives can be affected by unexpected events or hidden problems: crisis, loss, insecurity, mental health challenges, or abuse. People living in these situations can be anyone.
With your support, our services help anyone and everyone overwhelmed by crisis, whether it's at tipping point or deeply rooted challenges. We provide wellbeing and essentials for living: food, warmth and safety; access to support through advocacy, advice and referral; and we are there for people, so they don't struggle alone, helping them to recover and thrive once again. We help people take back control of their lives, their wellbeing, their finances and their safety. Much of our support is community funded by people helping people.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We will spend the money raised to pay for foods, halls, voluntary expenses, arts equipment’s, administrations fees and mentors.
