Support for vulnerable households with children under 11 to help them be more financially aware to turn bad days into better tomorrows
We are an organisation made up on dedicated and passionate members of the community working together to support families with children under 11yrs. Working together we enable families to turn tough days into better tomorrows. With kindness and integrity, we work together to support families and children to grow and thrive. It is what makes any ‘family’ great.

Our trained volunteers provide emotional and practical support to families that are experiencing a range of challenges, including social isolation, mental health, physical health, and financial hardship which has been further impacted by the economic crisis in the UK. Our purpose is to provide direct support to vulnerable households with children.
Our solution to the growing need aims to offer a long-term flexible and responsive way to support families affected by the rising cost of living especially those living in some of the most deprived areas in Hampshire. The project is facilitated by our Area Volunteer Managers (AVM) who make an initial assessment of a referred family, in the comfort of their own homes to then match with a suitable, trained volunteer. Our Volunteers provide regular home visits or invite families along to local social groups (where suitable) to access support depending on their needs.
We are therefore ideally placed to observe the ‘need’ and work with families to understand their circumstances. This project will allow us to provide immediate solutions for families with the most urgent need(s) whilst we continue to work to empower and assist them to implement long term, sustainable solutions.
In their own words:
“with the support of my volunteer, I learned how to interact and play with my son, put boundaries in place, and create a safe and secure home. The charity helped to change my life."

The unsung heroes:
"Volunteering is a two way thing, we give what we can, two or three hours a week seems so little but the rewards of seeing a family change how they see the world and the possibilities that they can then create for themselves are truly life changing."
