Financial advice for people affected by melanoma

Aim

We are raising funds to benefit the melanoma Community with bespoke financial advice, to help with the cost of living crisis.

We are a small charity providing essential support for people affected by malignant melanoma. Over the past year people diagnosed with the disease have not only had to worry about the disease, both physically and mentally but also how they are going to survive during the cost-of-living crisis. Many of our service uses are under the age of 45, the majority of working age and most have children/spouses. The cost of living has risen exponentially over the past year and has exacerbated a mental health crisis. Many of our service users are having to take time off work as well as struggling to pay utility bills, petrol etc for hospital appointments and 

Our service users range from stage 1-4 and we also support people who have lost loved ones to the disease. 

As a charity, Melanoma-Me would like to be able to offer our clients an extra service to our counselling and emotional support, by providing financial support for those affected by melanoma. This will help service users with budgeting and ensuring that they are receiving all of the financial support they are able to receive during difficult times.  To alleviate financial concerns will help the clients emotionally to as it alleviates the burden that financial issues can create.
