🚣‍♀️ Xtreme Challenge 2026 🚣‍♂️

Five brave (and slightly nervous!) colleagues from Finance Shared Services — George Wales, Kasia Dutkiewicz, Roman Taylor, Emily Kamel, and Anna Niewiadomska — are stepping well outside their comfort zones to take on this year’s Xtreme Challenge in support of the NHSPS Community Fund.

This year’s adventure? Xtreme Rafting. And while it sounds thrilling… let’s just say not all of us are exactly fans of extreme sports or rapid waters — which makes this a real challenge for us all!

We’ll be swapping spreadsheets for paddles as we build teamwork, resilience, communication skills (and maybe a bit of courage!) while trying to stay afloat and head in the same direction.
Expect teamwork, problem-solving, and plenty of laughs along the way.

All funds raised will support 27 local charities from NHSPS Community Fund, helping communities where it matters most, including:

  • The Wellspring – supporting people experiencing homelessness in Stockport with practical help and long-term support
  • Zarach – tackling child bed poverty by providing beds and essentials for children
  • The Listening Place – offering ongoing, face-to-face listening support for people in crisis
  • Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice – caring for children with life-limiting conditions and supporting their families
  • Sophie’s Legacy – helping families of hospitalised children with meals and practical support during tough times

If you’d like to support five determined (and slightly out-of-our-depth!) colleagues, we’d be incredibly grateful.
Every donation makes a difference — and keeps us paddling!

Thank you for cheering us on! 💙
