To provide subsidized food, healthy eating advice and recipes as well as debt and benefit, budgeting and financial support to the community.
East Birmingham is one of the city's most deprived areas however we offer free support and activities to those who are in need in the community.
We started our community fridge, which is housed at Glebe Farm Library, back in June 2022 and this has proved a great success and has grown from strength to strength. We started our club with only 15 members, and we have now over 100 members signed up, which shows how much need there is for this service. We want to replicate this service in neighbouring Shard End and use the knowledge and experience already gained to make it a great success!

The money will enable us to offer a weekly service to the community, giving financial support as well as practical support through the supply of fresh and affordable food.

We will offer the community a warm, friendly and safe environment for people to attend without judgement or stigma and be able to accept the help and support they need.

We provide free refreshments, recipes, quizzes and newspapers to create a fun, friendly atmosphere where community members can come and have a catch up and speak to the team about any issues or concerns. We have already received many positive comments from our existing service to back this up!
