The ultimate purpose of our charity work is to meet the individual needs of disabled, older, and vulnerable people living in the UK. Our intrinsic belief is that everyone should have a home environment that is accessible, healthy and safe to inhabit.
Since 2020, we have helped 6,445 people (and counting) alone through our partnership with the Gas Safe Charity as part of our HIA Advice, Funding and Support.
Since 2014, we have funded six innovative Sector Research and Pilot Projects.
In 2023, we completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, raising an estimated £1,292.50 to fund pioneering research into the home environment where children and their families are dealing with behaviours of concern. The research findings will be used to:
- Develop comprehensive, best-practice guidelines for HIAs and Occupational Therapists (OTs).
- Develop and create effective home equipment and adaptations.
- Improve the health, safety and well-being of children with behaviours of concern.
