We are an Emergency Consortium made up of CICs Community interest Companies and a team of volunteers brought together by Covid-19 and the huge demand across the City for help during this crisis
We are offering freshly prepared and boxed meals cooked by a chef and extra support to our vulnerable residents across the city.
We identified a need for this project when we were contacted by a organisation to be told a vulerable service users meal service had been suspended due to Covid-19. The service users relies on this service due to their disability as they are unable to prepare a cooked meal unaided.
As a business we have been inundated with requests for foodbank vouchers to be issued, food collected and delivered. Not always when we arrive do people have white goods to be able to cook a warm meal leaving us to issue a whitegood referral. Foodbank parcels don't always give you fruit and vegetables to keep you healthy and your immune strong to fight illness when we need it most.

New Beginnings - Improving Lives CIC
We will project manage the scheme. Referrals will come through our business intially as previous to COVID-19 we would receive similar referal work. We will continue to run our support and foodbank work alongside this new scheme in order to offer a supportive package.

Without the RJCC it would not be possible for our scheme to operate. RJCC is not only our base it is a vital part of were we get our surplus food deliveries, were we are looked after by the RJCC Director Karen Harper and were our fantastic volunteer group work from. This partnership has been been vital for the operation of the scheme.
