A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at Filey Folk Festival. It is one of the highlights of Filey's musical calendar.
The team are working hard to build on the success of previous years to make it an enjoyable and memorable weekend for all involved.
We have over 120 varied artists performing in numerous venues around town. With genres from Traditional and Contemporary Folk, Americana, Country and Blues to Acoustic Pop and Rock and everything in-between, there's sure to be something for everyone.
The pub, Café and Restaurant events run all weekend with free admission.
We are asking you for help to cover our overall running costs, we are a not for profit, and as such struggle with finding the money to keep the festival free.
Donations will be used for expenses such as; equipment hire, venue costs, printed media/advertising, website maintenance, administration and banking costs to name a few.
The overall aim of Filey folk Festival is to provide another memorable weekend of music, fun and entertainment bringing the local community together to celebrate over 20 years of this fantastic event. The festival gives a chance for emerging musicians to play at a festival with good audience attendance allowing them to further advance their careers. Audiences at the festival give huge amounts of encouragement to both the experienced and inexperienced musicians they see, which is why the festival is increasing in size every year. The event is well loved and supported by musicians from all over, both local, national and international.
We believe that Filey Folk Festival is worth supporting, we hope you do too. Music is good for the soul, people's mental health, is memory evoking, is emotional, it brings comfort, it is a universal language that people from all walk of life understand, it brings people together, it brings people to Filey.
