Aim

Make hate cost more. Help cut off the funding that lets GB News and Elon Musk's X fuel dangerous division.

This is now the third summer in a row that the far right has exploited anger over horrific crimes to stigmatise an entire group. It has to stop.

Day after day, far-right voices have fuelled hostility towards refugees, amplified by toxic channels like GB News and Elon Musk's X. Now we're seeing racist riots on our streets and children being driven from their homes by violent thugs.

Far-right extremists on X have been fanning the flames. Musk himself has been spreading inflammatory posts to millions. While Belfast was still burning, a GB News presenter minimised the violence, claiming "there was no riot".

The extremists and their billionaire backers don't speak for Britain. But they won't stop unless we make it cost them.

We're already making a difference

This is our seventh campaign on Crowdfunder. Together, we've raised hundreds of thousands of pounds and it's working.

Thanks to Stop Funding Hate supporters, GB News has lost over £131 million as advertisers steer clear. Less money means less reach, and less reach means less harm. Meanwhile, Ofcom faces growing public demand to act. It has the power to fine both GB News and Elon Musk's X for breaking its rules. That pressure needs to keep building.

But GB News is still pumping out poison. Musk's X is still amplifying hate to millions. And summer isn't over. We need your support now to keep the pressure on.

With your support we can:

Step up the pressure on the advertisers whose money funds GB News, Elon Musk's X and other toxic channels.

Turn up the heat on Ofcom and press MPs to hold them to account. Together we'll push for full investigations into GB News's breaches and demand Ofcom use its powers to stop X spreading dangerous hate and misinformation.

Stand with communities under attack and show that the far right doesn't speak for Britain.

Expose the playbook by producing accessible resources that shine a light on far-right media tactics and help build the movement to counter them.

Send a message to the whole industry: there is a real cost to pushing hateful rhetoric.
