Your Sports Club needs you! Please help us raise funds for new grass gang mowers so we can continue maintaining a vital community space!
Who We Are
Lacey Green & Loosley Row Sports and Social Club has been the heart of our community for over 75 years, bringing people together through sport, social events, and shared green spaces. Whether playing cricket, tennis, or football, enjoying the playground, or simply taking in the breath taking views, nearly everyone in our village has benefitted from this cherished facility.
We are a privately owned, volunteer-run club that receives no local authority or external funding—meaning every improvement and maintenance effort relies entirely on the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our community.
Currently, we support:
- Four cricket teams
- Over 250 tennis members
- Two junior football teams
- A well-maintained children’s playground
- A scenic space enjoyed by walkers and dog owners alike
The Impact on Our Community
Our club is more than just a place for sports—it’s a vital part of village life. It provides a safe, welcoming space where people can connect, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors. Every aspect of its upkeep, from mowing the fields to managing events, is handled by volunteers who pour their time and energy into keeping it alive for everyone.
Why We Need Your Help
Our gang mowers are critical for maintaining the grounds, ensuring that all areas remain safe, accessible, and usable. Unfortunately, our current equipment is beyond repair, posing serious safety risks. If we cannot replace them before they fail completely, we will struggle to keep the grounds in the condition our community deserves.
As a self-funded club, we simply do not have the financial means to replace them on our own. While we continue to run fundraising events, a recent overhaul of our tractor has depleted much of our resources—so we’re turning to you, our incredible community, for support.
How Your Contribution Will Help
Every donation will go directly toward purchasing a new set of gang mowers, which will be maintained and serviced by our dedicated volunteers to ensure they last for years to come.
