Your support makes a difference

Aim

I'm a new Solo UK developer. My AR dog-walking game is live and free on iOS and Android. Can you help me keep building and get it seen?

Fetch Quest AR is out now — free on the App Store and Google Play

It started as an idea about the walk I do every single day anyway. It's now a real, released game: point your phone on an ordinary dog walk and your route lights up with glowing AR collectibles, hidden chests and rare finds, overlaid on the world in front of you. Walk up, raise the camera, and let your dog make the catch.

Download it free, take it out on your next walk, and you'll see exactly what your support is backing: fetchquestar.com

What you can do

  • Fetch on real walks. AR collectibles appear along your actual route. Catch them, complete sets, fill your Vault and level up your Walker Level.
  • Walkies. Tap Start and the walk becomes the game — time, distance, steps and every catch are tracked, saved and ranked in My Walks.
  • The Pack Feed. Share your best finds and walks with other players, with photo frames, captions and cosmetics.
  • Leaderboards. Local, overall and weekly ranks. Chase the top spot, defend your streak, and prove your pup is the ultimate adventurer.
  • Pack Teams. Team up with friends, collect into one shared Team Vault and level faster than you could alone.
  • Storybooks. Capture your dog's whole life in photos and video — and use AI to bring old photos back to life, so the dogs you've loved and lost can join the quest again. Real photos, AI portraits, playful memes and short clips, each one a page with your own caption. From the wobbly puppy days to the grey-muzzle years, in one book you keep forever.
  • No dog? No problem. It's built for everyday dog walkers, but you can adopt a realistic virtual pet and play exactly the same way.

Why I'm asking

I'm one person, building and running all of this myself — the game, the servers, the artwork, the website and the support inbox.

Getting it built and released was only half the job. The hard part for a solo developer isn't making the thing, it's being found. Keeping the game updated across two app stores, covering the running costs, and putting it in front of enough people to build a proper community all take real, ongoing investment — and that's the part I can't simply will into existence on my own.

Funding it privately only stretches so far. So I'm reaching out to gamers, dog lovers and technology enthusiasts who'd like to see this exist and keep growing.

Where your donation goes

  • Marketing and reach — the single biggest barrier. Getting the game seen by dog walkers who'd genuinely love it.
  • Running costs — servers, maps and the AI features behind Storybooks; the day-to-day cost of keeping the world live for everyone playing.
  • Store and release costs — Apple and Google developer accounts, build pipelines, and the release work behind every update.
  • Development — new features, seasonal events, and the fixes that only come from real players out on real walks.

Every contribution goes straight back into the game. Nothing here pays a salary.

Sponsorship

If you'd rather sponsor the project than donate — a brand, a rescue, a local business, a dog-related company — I'd love to hear from you: [email protected]

Even if you can't give

Sharing this with one person who'd love it genuinely helps as much as a donation. So does downloading the game, playing a walk, and leaving an honest review on the App Store or Google Play — reviews are what make a solo game visible to everyone else.

Thank you for reading this far.
