We're raising money to fund season 3 of our-award-winning podcast. We offer compassionate support and advice to fertility patients.
About us
Hi, We’re Becky and Ben – the podcast hosts of Becky & Ben’s Fertility Spotlight. We’re asking for your help to raise £5000, which will cover our costs to make season 3 of the podcast. With your support, we can continue helping others as they navigate the extremely challenging road of infertility and IVF.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Doing a podcast REALLY WELL costs money. Studio time, producer fees, editing – it all mounts up. We funded the first two seasons ourselves, and with the help of a single private donation. A crowdfunding scheme created for our loyal and growing audience will give us a much-needed lifeline to make season 3 a reality. With financial assistance from multiple donations, we can concentrate on what we do best: creating great content.
About season 3
Season 3 will have 12 episodes, each lasting around 25 minutes. We’ve already started planning and lining up great guests from the fertility world – including international fertility experts, mental health practitioners, fellow patients, and other professionals involved in fertility care. We’ll be covering a broad range of topics that will help patients cope, mentally and physically, with the choices and experiences they face on their IVF journeys.
Our story
We’re Becky and Ben Saer – former IVF patients. We struggled for five gruelling years to conceive, suffering many setbacks along the way. After several rounds of IVF, we finally had our two amazing daughters, Ida and Coral, using donor eggs from a wonderful EU clinic.
For 12 years we’ve supported fertility patients as they go through treatment – working with the very same clinic that got us pregnant. That experience, and our personal battle to conceive, taught us a lot about infertility, and how to manage the difficulty and disruption it brings with it.
The podcast
In May 2025, we launched our podcast, Becky & Ben’s Fertility Spotlight. We were bowled over by the positive response from our audience. People were enthusiastic about the rapport between us, the breadth of topics and the excellent guests. This led to the launch of season 2 in September, and more great feedback.
The award
In November 2025, we won the Best Presenting Team award at the APAs in London. We beat French and Saunders, Mel and Sue, and Sky News, among others. This is what the judges said:
“The judges felt that Becky & Ben’s Fertility Spotlight deserved the Gold for tackling a very sensitive issue with respect, kindness, empathy and even some humour – serving an audience who may not have previously felt that podcasts were for them during such a difficult time in their lives. The panel loved the chemistry and relationship between the duo, who brought their own personal story to a wider audience through fantastic guests, offering perspectives from across the fertility journey.”

Our vision
We want to make our show the best fertility podcast of its kind. Your donation will allow us to continue helping fertility patients everywhere. We created the podcast to share our personal story, and to inspire others.
If you loved the first two seasons, you’ll know our style is informative, empathetic and genuine. We never knew where this podcast would take us. So winning the award in November was a major boost. We want to build on that success – and we need your help to continue helping others.
