Aim

To engineer future innovators. To raise funds for our attendance to the UK FTC Finals to represent Dorset and the South West Region!

Well, we did it! South West Champions 2020.

After completIng STEM community outreach with our middle schools we won The Connector Award at the Regional First Tech Challenge (FTC) Finals. On top of this one of our teams came first place in the robotics competition becoming South West Regional Champions!

FTC involves students designing and building robots to complete on a field with other teams, more details can be seen here: https://www.firstuk.org/

On to the UK Championships!

For both these reasons we now move up to the National Championships in London in March! At the Olympic Park we will face other regional champions and represent Dorset and the South West Region.

Once in a lifetime opportunity!

We seek funds to support our students in their once in a lifetime opportunity to win a place at the World FTC Championships in Michigan.

Our students have grown in confidence and ability and are fully using their new engineering, team-working and leadership skills to progress through this International Competition.

Empower girls with engineering skills.

Help support this mainly girl team reach their dream and take part on the National Stage in the biggest STEM competition in the world.

Come visit our official website here: www.ferndownload.org

Any sponsorship by organisations or businesses of at least £100 will result in their logos on kit/ the robots and acknowledgement at the national (and if successful world) finals. This event is attended by 1000s of people and will be reported on National Media.

We are #morethanrobots!
