Female Changing Rooms

Aim

We are looking to provide high standard changing room facilities for our female Rugby Players, adults and juniors

Here at Castleford Lock Lane RL & Sports Club we are looking to give female players (Rugby & Netball) a quality & secure changing room environment that they deserve. We are one of the biggest amateur Rugby League clubs in the country but we are more than that,  we have 3 gyms including a ladies only facility, sports hall which we pride ourselves in having a wide variety of sports, these range from fitness classes for all ages, 2 different netball clubs including a netball league, Badminton league and also social bookings , indoor bowling, Active Life sessions, school exams, walking football. We work closely with the local drug and alcohol recovery groups to truly make our faculty "The heart of the community" 

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are looking to raise funds to complete the building of our new ladies changing rooms, we currently have two female teams but need help to complete the project  as we are looking to expand in the coming seasons via links with local schools and professional clubs. We believe that sport and mental well being is vital to everyone and not just members of the rugby club and these new changing areas would give female participants a much more enjoyable and secure experience.

How we’ll spend the money raised

All money raised will be spent on completing the changing rooms, this includes interior fixtures and fitting as well as showers, toilets and power supply, we aim to give our ladies the best faculties possible that is why we need your support. If we can raise £9,000 we have received a funding pledge from Sport England who will kindly donate a further £8950 towards our project. So we need all your help please.

Community impact

Here at Lock Lane we strongly believe sport is for all and also appreciate the mental health benefits this can have on everyone in our community, these changing rooms will allow us to provide a larger local benefit to everyone wanting to use our community facilities. These changing rooms will give increased segregation and privacy  for all uses.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target and make this project a reality.
