Gosport Borough FC is supporting the community in the Covid-19 crisis. We are raising funds to buy supplies to feed families in need

We're still collecting donations

On the 18th May 2020 we'd raised £6,214 with 192 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

 New stretch target

Wow! Thank you for your support so far. The initial £2500 raised, and raised so quickly, will keep us stocked until June at current levels of demand to Feed Families in Need with the Boro'. However, we don't know how long this crisis will last and we have a budget plan in place to keep our operation going until the end of August 2020, so additional funds will go towards securing supplies until then. Any balance of funds once the project is over will go into a new Boro' Community Fund which we are establishing to help good or deserving causes in the future. Your community club will always be there to support people in need in the town if necessary.

Gosport Borough FC is supporting the community throughout the Covid-19 crisis. With a team of volunteers, led by our Club House manager Keith Slater (that's him in the photo), we have delivered food parcels to around 500 families since the end of March when the club's community relief effort began. Initially an amazing £9,000 raised kept our service going until the end of 2020. As we move into the autumn and with the new announcement of a lockdown from November 5, it is likely to our work will be continuing for the foreseeable future, so we will be looking for further donations to keep the project going. The club is working with local schools, Gosport Voluntary Action and other stakeholders to identify families who need help most.  We have received some kind donations from local supermarkets, including Morrisons and Aldi, but to maintain our stock levels we need to raise funds to source essential supplies to feed families in need. Every donation comes with our grateful thanks. If 10,000 people were to give us just a pound each it will make a massive difference to people who need it most. Of course, feel free to donate more! Alternatively if you're a shop, wholesaler or individual who can help us with a donation of supplies contact Keith: [email protected] Please give what you can.

We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
