We are the Lightwood Community Group, and we're passionately working on 'Project Green not Greed' to protect our local greenbelt land against its inclusion by Stoke-on-Trent City Council in their Local Plan (BL1) for Stoke-on-Trent.
Our aim is to object to the current plans for building on this important green space. The residents of Lightwood, Rough close, Cocknage, Meir Heath, Meir Park, Stone, Longton, Newstead, Blurton, Trentham, Normacot, Dresden, Barlaston and other surrounding areas will benefit from our efforts, as we believe preserving this land is vital for the wellbeing of our community.
