Raise preliminary funds for upfront costs associated with our big Community Share issue June 18 to instal an all-weather pitch next summer!
FC Clacton is a not for profit Community Benefit Society and proud FA Charter Standard Community Club. From our base in Rush Green Road, Clacton we provide football & social opportunities to over 300 players in 31 teams, from u6s up to veterans, boys, girls & ladies teams.
Our main pitch & the surrounding youth pitches are built on a former landfill site & despite substantial amounts of time, effort & money being spent every year, they are not fit for purpose & can not sustain the use we need. The floodlights & spectator hardstanding also need replacing, as well as a facility for all our teams & other teams in the local community to train on during the week. In each of the last three seasons we have had in excess of 100 games postponed due to adverse weather throughout the whole Club.
Our vision is to replace the grass pitch with the very latest all weather synthetic surface, instal new perimeter hardstanding, fencing & floodlighting. This will give a stadium the Club & community can be proud of, as well as provide much needed income for the Club to expand the excellent work it carries out. It will also give a weather proff base for our teams to train during the week & play at weekends.
To achieve this we are pursuing a number of grants, alternative funding & hope to raise a significant sum via a major Community Share issue in June 2018, where we hope to sell 400 x £1,000 shares. In advance of that, we need to raise preliminary funding to pay for the upfront surveys, fees associated with obtaining planning consent & the cost of expert assistance to get us ready & prepared for the major share issue - which we can not wait for!!
We are looking for donations of £500 and need to raise a minimum of £6,000, which we hope will then be matchfunded. When we launch our share issue, each of the £500 donations will be invited to pay a further £500 & become our very first £1,000 share holders.
