Farrington Gurney Green Uplift Project

Aim
To install 34 solar panels on the roof of the village hall to generate electricity needed for the running of the village hall.
Farrington Gurney Memorial Village Hall is caught in a catch 22 – it can’t really increase hire charges and prices too much due to the cost of living crisis as that would affect the community use of the hall; yet is suffering financially due to the vastly increased running costs due to the energy crisis.
We have identified that the village hall desperately needs to raise funds to undertake works to modernise the heating and lighting systems, and so reduce the energy use of the largest building in the village in order to remain a viable asset to the community.
