Aim

Our Playing Field needs both continual maintenance and modernisation of equipment and facilities to prevent another closure due to safety.

The Farley Coronation Playing Field was generously purchased by villagers in the 1950s and has been run by many helpful volunteers ever since. The Farley Coronation Playing Field Trust, as a charity, is not eligible for maintenance grants from the local council and so our income is very limited. The play park was shut last year after a safety inspection and we need to replace our aging equipment and facilities as well as tend to the grounds.

In addition, we host one of the oldest cricket clubs in the UK which appears to have been active here since the 1830s. This is a vital part of our heritage which we want to ensure continues to thrive and grow.

We simply don't have enough money to do all of this without funding from multiple sources. We hope that you will help.

Our vision is that we can replace our ageing play park equipment, update our facilities and keep the grounds in top condition for all visitors.
