Saving for a Family reunion & Charity Donation

Aim

I am looking to raise money to take my little girl to Australia to see her extended family, and to donate 10% to charity ...

Hello, My name is Lydia and I am a hard-working mum of one from the West Midlands. 

Why I would like to raise funds:

Starting from the Covid pandemic, through to the difficult financial situation we are all facing at present, any savings I had have been dwindled away (and for the right reasons), to keep things afloat at home for me and my family.

I focus on keeping a roof over our heads,  and to ensure I create positive experiences for my daughter as my key priorities, (as well as working full time as a Designer and Writer).

My Aunt who is now in her mid-seventies, emigrated to Australia in the 80's and when I gave birth to my daughter in 2017, I promised I would take her as I wanted her to meet her extended family who now have a life for themselves in Oz.

Why is this trip important to me: 

My aunt is not getting any younger, and I would be devastated to miss this opportunity as I feel it would be a really positive life experience for my daughter to embark on this journey with me. My family mean the world to me, and the fact that there is a whole other branch of them living on the other side of the World who I am struggling to gain access to, is something I am trying to change before it is too late.

What would I do with the funds:

I would use the funds raised to secure travel ONLY to Australia and home again for myself, my daughter and my partner. I also plan to donate 10% of the funds raised to WWF (World Wildlife Fund) as this is a Charity close to my heart and one I would love to support more given the opportunity (like this one).

I just need your help to get me there - i do not expect the donated money to pay other expenses.
