New stretch target
Extra money will fund the project for an extra month and allow time for us to apply for more funding pots to give this community project the financial foundations it needs.
With the cost of living on the rise we want to continue delivering food to those who need support in our community.

Extra money will fund the project for an extra month and allow time for us to apply for more funding pots to give this community project the financial foundations it needs.
Two years ago, in response to COVID-19 we started cooking twice a week at the Dracaena Centre and delivering meals out to our community. Our aim was to help feed those in self-isolation and in need of food during the pandemic. Our original Crowdfunder raised funds to get us going, buy kitchen equipment and food for the first few months.
That seems like a long time ago and since then we have moved to the Princess Pavilion. Every Thursday we cook, pack and deliver 4 meals and pudding to approximately 80 people. Ingredients are ordered from Falmouth Food Co-op and local suppliers, topped up with rescued surplus veg and food donations. Since we started, thousands of volunteer hours have cooked and delivered 32,402 meals to date.
At the end of the month, our current funding from Cornwall Council is coming to an end but the need for our service has not. People should not have to chose between food and fuel so once again we are asking our community to pull together and support those who need it. We are currently looking for alternative funding avenues but in the meantime we need your support to help keep this valuable community project running. Thank you!
