Falinge Park Garden Restoration

Aim

To create a safe growing space for our community members within a local park

Vintage Worx is a volunteer led organisation that is focussed on regenerating a heritage park in the town of Rochdale. We have worked for over 1 years in the area providing activities, workshops and community events that have helped bring together this community, support vulnerable and socially isolated people and provided a safe space for the community to come together and make the environment their own. 

We work with a lot of families, adults with learning difficulties, vulnerable people and pensioners and pride ourselves on providing facilities and activities that they have identified as being something they need.

This project was identified by our green volunteers as something that is needed by the community. A safe, enclosed growing space where the can learn about sustainable growing, reduce, recycle and reuse activities, biodiversity and create opportunities for multi-generational, cross cultural and diverse ability people to work together toward a common goal. The money raised through this fund will help us to achieve this goal.
