Creating the space, design and installation for a first floor accessible bathroom to British Standard 8300 for the Atrium Health community.

Hello and thank you for visiting Atrium Health Coventry 

We are delighted to find you on our page! We are a social enterprise founded in 2007. We provide early and late rehabilitation for people with long term health conditions and more recently, to those affected by Coronavirus.

Before COVID19, Friends of Atrium were working on our 2 main targets for 2020. Due to the impact of the pandemic, our efforts to raise vital funds have all been halted. We are now, more than even more motivated to achieve a more accessible, inviting and supportive environment for our users.

Atrium's 2020 goals

  Our Crowdfunding #Payitforward Goal 
• Our goal is to raise £20,000 to assist towards the funding of a first floor accessible Bathroom.

  Our current facilities include,
  
  Ground floor - Reception, Cafe, Male, Female and Accessible bathroom facilities including showers, Recovery room and gym.
  

First Floor - Offices, Staff toilets, Kitchen, Seminar room 1, Functional Gym, Assessment rooms 1,2 & 3

Our Team 
Our team consists of clinical staff such as Nurses, Exercise Physiologists, a Respiratory Physiotherapist, Dietitian and Counsellors. We also have administration and reception staff. We also welcome Intern students and work experience applications from time to time.

Our team is completed by our members, over 25 valued volunteers and patients, including those who are guests and family members or friends of Atrium. All that we strive to do is continue providing a safe friendly centre for all to enjoy.

How we help the community 
We are located in the heart of Coventry and have been providing ongoing care for people recovering from Heart, Lung and circulation problems. Some of our members and volunteers have been on this journey with us right from the start.

We purchased and developed our own dedicated space for these services with a loan and grant. Our facility was derelict, we have completed the basics but now need to desperately upgrade our upstairs functionality including an accessible toilet facility.

Our centre is the base of a wide range of community activities. We host coffee mornings for Coventry Healthy Hearts, Friends of Atrium, Macmillan art group, Coventry Fire Service safe and well, Long term condition education sessions and dietary education. Once we are able to renovate our seminar room, we look to welcoming more community groups to enjoy our facility and become part of the Atrium family.

How you can help us! 
Our Crowdfunding is just the start! Our aim for this Crowdfunder is to raise vital funds towards our first floor accessible toilet. This new facility will mean patients enjoying rehabilitation classes, seminar room groups, individual appointments and Tai Chi will have the facilities available to cater for all guests to our centre.
