Formed as a single under 8 youth team in 1990, Celtic Bhoys Fc has grown significantly since then and now comprises of 18 x youth teams along with 4 x senior teams catering for all ages. While primarily a sports club that offers soccer opportunities to all sections of the local community we also pride ourselves in being a community club which has the interests of not only our members but their wider family and social circles at heart.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Celtic Bhoys Fc are delighted to announce the launch of our Facilities Development Programme — an ambitious initiative that will see a number of projects rolled out over the coming months and year to enhance our facilities at The Ballyhornan 3G Pitch.

With the support of the Olympic Legacy Fund, this initial project will focus on the upgrading and refurbishment of our existing changing rooms to bring them to a more modern standard as set out in the attached poster.

This is an exciting developments that will modernise our current facility and greatly improve the matchday experience for players and supporters alike.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The funding generated from this crowdfunder campaign along with the support of the Olympic Legacy Fund will be utilised to upgrade and modernise our current changing rooms and storage area for which the costs has been projected at £14,500.

Community impact

This facility is currently used by numerous community groups and schools for sporting activities (both soccer and non - soccer) for which there will be wide range of benefits for:

Players: The refurbishment of the existing changing rooms to a "modern standard" directly benefits players, improving their safety, comfort, and professional experience before, during, and after matches.

Wider Community & Economic Benefits: The creation of modern, well-maintained facilities will attract more events, tournaments, and community engagement. Improving the club's home base will also enhance the civic pride associated with the facility and the club.
