Improving Cricket Facilities for Future Generation

Aim

We are looking to purchase roll on covers, a bow dry and new storage facilities with a view to starting a junior team.

Sport England have awarded us funding for half the estimated project costs of £9500. We need your help to raise the other half (£4750) in order to be eligible. Purchasing this equipment will be a game changer for the club and enable us to do more within the community with the limited facilities we have. 

• Who are we? 
  • Muff Field CC have been at the heart of Bankfoot in Bradford for over 100 years and supports the local community in many ways, on and off the pitch. We pride ourselves on been an inclusive club where allowing people regardless of ability or disability is more important than winning. 
• Why are we crowdfunding?
  • The club has invested heavily in the facilities over the last couple of seasons. Seeing a new club house built and after storm damage sustained over the winter new changing facilities. This has depleted the club accounts and now we need your help to get the club over the line on this next project.
• How the Money raised will help
  • The equipment we are looking to buy will protect the playing surface from the rain meaning we can support further teams with the limited facilities we have. The main priority is establishing a mid week junior side with walking cricket for the retired / less mobile players. It is also hoped we can establish a women's side further down the line. The club is looking to provide a pool of equipment such as helmets, bats etc free of charge as part of this project. 
• Community impact
  • We are located within one of the most deprived areas in the country and that usually reflects in how active the people that live there are. Providing opportunities within the community especially for juniors to train and play in a financially supported environment will be good for their physical and mental health.
