Aim

Bring 'Exposed', a bold new intergenerational drama, to life in its world premiere with professional actors in an immersive theatre setting

Jake isn't here to help. He's here to film it.

When a first-year university student turns up at a community centre for an easy volunteering tick-box, he’s looking for content, not connection. What he doesn’t expect is Annie, who runs the space with zero tolerance for ego, excuses, or being watched.

But Jake keeps pushing, and someone is watching him.

Mary, a retired headteacher, sees Jake as her next project - a young man she can shape, guide, and understand, but as she draws closer, her own secrets begin to surface, and the line between mentorship and control starts to blur.

Outside the centre, Annie is fighting a different battle trying to hold onto her daughter as old wounds and broken relationships resurface.

Inside, the pressure builds. Boundaries are crossed. Trust is tested. And care starts to look a lot like exploitation.

About the play

Exposed is an immersive theatre experience. There’s no distance between audience and action. You are in the room as it happens. Every silence, every shift in power, every moment that goes too far unfolds right in front of you.

About me

I’m a writer, director, and theatre-maker focused on creating honest, relatable work rooted in intergenerational experiences and mental health. After producing my first full-length play to sold-out audiences, I’m now developing Exposed as its world premiere with a professional cast.

What your support makes possible:

Your backing will directly fund:

  • Professional fees for actors and creatives
  • Rehearsal and development time to refine the piece
  • Venue hire and performance costs
  • The creation of an immersive front-of-house experience

This is a crucial early stage giving us the chance to test the work with live audiences and shape its future life beyond this first run.

Why it matters:

This is how new theatre begins. Not with big budgets, but with people willing to back something at the very start.

Without this support, Exposed risks staying small. With it, we can bring it fully realised into the room.

Interested?

If you’re interested in bold new writing, raw human stories, and theatre that puts you right at the centre of the action, this is your chance to be part of it from the very beginning.

Help bring Exposed to life.

*Note, while there are rewards available, you can donate any amount and it will all be put to good use. While we'd love to see you there when we perform, we appreciate that it may not be possible. Your donation is still greatly appreciated*
