We are due to host an FAW pan-disability football festival in February and need help in order to pay the cost of pitch hire and equipment.

We're still collecting donations

On the 30th December 2023 we'd raised £60 with 4 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Who are we?

Exiles Dragons are a mixed age and gender pan-disability and Mental Health Football team, and part of Aberystwyth Exiles Football Club. We have been asked by the Football Association of Wales (FAW) to organise a festival in February.

Why are we crowdfunding?

As the main club is not-for-profit, and our only current source of income is from player subscriptions and fees so we cannot afford to finance this festival alone and we need your support. We need to cover the following costs:

- Pitch Hire

- Referee Hire

- Equipment (goals, cones and pitch markers)

- Other miscellaneous costs we may incur hosting the tournament

We are also applying for funding to help with some of these costs.

Community impact

Providing football for people who may not normally be able to access it due to disability or socio-economic reasons is our main aim but we cannot offer this for all without help. We cater for anyone meeting the pan-disability criteria set out by the FAW of any age or gender. We believe the legacy of hosting this tournament will help us provide accessible football to all.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
