Aim

We're a group of artists wanting to put on a an exhibition on a boat travelling the waterways in the East Midlands.

We're a group of artists who have been investigating a cruiser called Popeye and the waterways of the East Midlands. We're all making work specific to the boat then exhibiting it on and in the boat. We'd love to invite you on board. We'll be setting sail on the 23rd of October, then mooring at Trent Lock and other stopping points on our way into Nottingham. It will be a floating exhibition like no other.

We need to raise funds to hire the boat. You can make a donation, or you can pledge £72 and  be rewarded with a beautiful print. These are printed by Matthew Conduit at Yorkshire Art Space. He is a specialist fine art printer. They are supplied in a roll and are all A3. If you need your print posting, please let us know.

The artists involved are:

  • Will Greenwood: he has made and flown a blimp. This will be inflated and suspended above the boat on a mast made by Jeremy Greenwood. He is also making an exclusive single on vinyl for the project
  • Primordial Filth are a collective: Ava Ord, Mia Colman and Jack Mackness will be working together in the central area of the boat
  • Ruth Heaton: will be making concrete casts to display in the kitchen area
  • Jenny Sutton: will be making a large painting for the ceiling
  • Michelle Greenwood: will be hand painting tiles for the shower room
  • Kate Jacob and Stephen Carley will be collaborating in the cabin. Stephen will also be making a raft to be towed.

Please give what you can, it will be free to get on board but we do have costs to cover and we want to set sail!
