EX5-Alive Funding Crisis Statement
EX5-Alive CIC is raising £80,000 for the EX5-Alive CIC in Devon.
EX5-Alive has proudly supported Cranbrook residents over the last 3 years through critical intervention, vital signposting and community engagement for families and individuals to thrive in their community. As a new town our community and welfare services have been continually underfunded but Cranbrook continues population continues to grow. We provide services where statutory gaps exist and save over £500,000 each year to ensure residents do not fall further into crisis.
We have been externally funded by many agencies, but most funders do not fund core wages. We know from our stakeholders and partners that should our services be reduced or cease there will be an impact on Mental Health, GP appointments, a rise in domestic abuse, addiction and less opportunity for Cranbrook children. We aim to make sure everyone has the same access to opportunity.

This accessibility to information empowers community members to make informed decisions, enhancing their resilience and wellbeing.
The food bank is another essential service, addressing food insecurity that affects many households. By distributing nutritious food, EX5 Alive not only alleviates hunger but also promotes health and well-being among families. This act of kindness fosters solidarity, encouraging individuals to support one another during challenging times.
Community events organised by EX5 Alive create opportunities for social interaction, bridging gaps between diverse groups. These gatherings foster friendships, cultivate shared interests, and strengthen community bonds. They provide a platform for locals to showcase their talents, share their stories, and celebrate the unique culture of the area.
