EWELL VILLAGE HALL

Margret Henrietta Glyn was the last of the Glyn dynasty she lived in the little village of Ewell. Margaret was a champion of the local community, just before she died she left in trust for the community a little wooden building to be used for the benefit, education and wellbeing of the local community.
That was almost 100 years ago, this little hall has been used by the community all that time, lovingly looked after by a very small group of volunteers. However, despite best efforts and limited finances down the years, it has now reached its end of life. The littel hall was to be sold to developers and the legacy lost to the village community forever. However, a new group of volunteers stepped up to save the day and the legacy lives on and will continue to do so for another 100 years with the help and generosity of good hearted people. Once again we can provide a not-for-profit space where the people of the village can meet and be happy.
