Aim

Transforming lives through the power of nature. Help turn this film into a movement.

Transforming lives through the power of nature, empowering individuals to find their strength and reach their personal summit.

We want a world where the outdoors is a universal resource for both mental and physical health, and where no "Everest", despite how personal or daunting, is climbed alone.

1. What is Your "Everest"?

We all face mountains in our lives, challenges that feel insurmountable, whether they are physical, mental, or emotional.

Sally Orange MBE's "Everest" has been a lifelong journey with mental illness and more recently a Stage 3 cancer diagnosis. In 2025, she took the above metaphor literally, taking on the World’s highest marathon in the Everest region of Nepal, to prove that no matter how steep the climb, nature provides a way up.

2. The Challenge: A Crisis of Connection

The UK is currently facing a national health and social crisis.

Mental Health: 1 in 4 people in England experience a mental health problem each year.

Cancer Impact: 1 in 2 people in the UK will develop some form of cancer in their lifetime.

Nature Disconnection: Britain is the least connected to nature among 14 European nations.

Military Veterans & Youth: 52% of veterans have experienced mental health challenges, and young people in urban areas are increasingly disconnected from the outdoors.

Existing interventions are often fragmented, lacking a unified pathway to help people take that first step toward recovery.

3. The Solution: Everyone’s Everest

Everyone’s Everest is a veteran led public health movement designed to bridge the gap between awareness and action. We aren't just telling people to "go for a walk", we are providing the roadmap.

Your support will fund four key deliverables:

a. The Feature Film

"When Life Gives You Lemons… Everyone’s Everest" is an 83 minute documentary following Sally’s journey, featuring insights from experts Sir Chris Bonington, Al Carns OBE MP, Hari Budha Magar MBE, Krish Thapa, Dr. Sophie Redlin, Dr Shaunna Burke, Jo Rycroft, Felicity Ashley,  and Francesca Anderson.

b. The Digital Gateway Hub

A website and toolkit providing practical resources based on the NHS "Five Steps to Mental Wellbeing" (Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, and Give).

c. The "PodCARst"

A unique video series where Sally interviews patrons and celebrity advocates whilst they drive an INEOS Grenadier off-road vehicle, creating a safe space for difficult conversations.

d. "To Conquer Mountains" Hit Single

An original track featuring British country duo 'Ward Thomas'. The lyrics stem from a Veterans' poetry competition and are narrated by National treasure, Dame Joanna Lumley in the film.

4. The Impact: Who We Are Helping?

This National campaign is designed to create tangible behaviour change, not just awareness. We are building specialised recovery pathways for:

Cancer Survivors: Using movement and "Green Health" as core tools for post treatment life.

Military Veterans: Empowering service leavers to realise their unlimited potential and access support networks.

Young People: Inspiring younger generations with the power of the outdoors and encouraging participation within outdoor education for groups such as the Cadet Forces, Duke of Edinburgh award, and Outward Bound Trust.

5. Why We Need You

By backing this crowdfunder, you are helping us scale this initiative from a documentary into a sustained National movement. Your contributions will go towards:

Community Roadshows: Taking the film and it's lessons to inner city schools and veteran hubs.

Digital Accessibility: Finalising the www.everyoneseverest.com website to act as an accessible gateway hub to ensure resources are available to everyone, everywhere.

Distribution: Ensuring the documentary reaches major broadcasters and international streaming platforms, in order to maximise reach.

6. Our Vision

We envisage a world where the outdoors is a universal resource for mental and physical health, a world where no "Everest," however personal or daunting, is climbed alone.

Find your strength. Find your summit. Join the movement.
