We a providing a vital front-line service for people who are unable to use public transport. Our volunteer drivers aid transport to vital daily living appointments, reducing social isolation and loneliness and improving physical and mental health.
We are the only volunteer driver car scheme in the District and have over 400 registered members depending on our support.
We are fundraising to meet the running costs of our two wheelchair-accessible electric vehicles (insurance, repairs and servicing) and recruitment, training, equipment, PPE and volunteer expenses of new volunteer drivers.
The National Emergencies Trust has provided £4,893 of match funding
