Aim
We're climbing the height of Everest to raise funds for the Liverpool Refugees Rock group.
The challenge: To climb the equivalent of Mount Everest in one day.
12 climbers, 1 climbing wall, 1 day...
Mount Everest is 8,849m high. We’re going to climb the equivalent in one day at The Climbing Hangar, North Liverpool.
The walls are approximately 4m so we’ll need to complete a minimum of 2,212 climbs.
Maybe we can climb higher than Everest... with a little help from our friends?
The core team will be tackling more than 200 climbs each over eight hours.
Get involved! You can drop in throughout the day and add to our tally by completing climbs with us. Or simply come along to cheer us on/up!
Where your money goes…
All money raised will go towards supporting the Liverpool Refugees Rock group, which meets monthly at Matchworks. Funds help us pay for transport to the wall, bringing more participants to sessions and, if we raise enough, the opportunity for outdoor trips.
