I will stand in the UK General Election as an Independent candidate; my aim is to deliver Independence, the will of a majority of the people of Scotland. I shall represent the views and serve the interests of the people of Alloa and Grangemouth, where I live and work.
Our people are sovereign; Scotland is wealthy. Independence will enable the use of all Scottish resources for the betterment of all in Scotland, the taking of our rightful place amongst other normal independent countries - with independence Scotland can be a force for good and for peace in a changing at times too harsh, brutal world.
Through four decades as a family and child lawyer in central Scotland the vulnerabilities of our people have become etched on my CV and my heart. Poverty, financial, aspirational and generational, blights our country, hobbling our progress. Independence can end that vicious cycle and the despair thousands suffer daily. At the forefront of my campaign is determination that Grangemouth retains an oil refinery; closure will represent continued de-industrialisation which Scotland must not permit. With Independence Scotland will flourish - I fully intend to ensure that this happens.
Your support is sought to enable me to run a campaign website, produce materials, establish campaign offices in Clackmannanshire and Grangemouth, hold public meetings, secure IT services and software for voter ID, canvassing and engagement with the entire constituency.
As an independent candidate, I am bound by loyalty to those whom I represent. My priorities will always be the Independence of Scotland, equality and the prosperity of Scotland's people. On that you have my word.
