Why We Need Your Help

Welsh surfers punch well above their weight on the international stage. But unlike many other nations, our athletes receive no official funding. Every wetsuit, flight, boardbag and competition entry is paid for out of their own pockets - just to wear the red dragon with pride. 

This autumn, the team will be heading to the iconic surf town of Bundoran, Irelans to compete against Europe's best. But with travel, accommodation, equipment and logistical costs rising fast, we need your support to make it happen.

Flights and transport for team members
Accommodation close to the contest site
Competition fees and team registration
Essential surf equipment and team kit
Supporting junior and up-and-coming surfers to gain international experience

Welsh Surfing is run by a small team of volunteers. Our surfers are your neighbours, your friends, your kids' role models - and they train in the cold waters of Wales rain or shine. This isn't just about medals - it's about pride, perseverance and putting Wales on the map.
