The Edinburgh University Music Society needs a new bass drum!
On November 16th the society's Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will collaborate in a performance of Verdi's Requiem - an epic work that will showcase the talents of one of Scotland's foremost musical societies - in Edinburgh's stunning McEwan Hall. In recent years our bass drum has fallen into disrepair and so we are needing a modern, professional drum to allow us to do Verdi's great work justice. Furthermore, as part of EUMS' 'Percussion Plan', the new bass drum will form part of our new collection of high quality percussion instruments, allowing the continued maintainance and development of musical excellence.
This ambitious project will cost us in the region of £1000, so our first milestone is to reach the £500 mark, and we need your support to help us reach this goal! Any donation, big or small, will go directly go towards this cause, and any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated! We thank you for your generosity, and we hope to see you at our concert in November!
