St Peters GAA Club Warrenpoint (Cumann Pheadair Naofa - CPN) with a growing membership of 1200 members, currently operates as a fully integrated urban club model for GAA, Camogie and Ladies Gaelic Football and GAA FOR ALL. We operate at the heart of our local community, for whole of family, for whole of life. St. Peter’s GAA Club has 36 teams and 145 plus games coaches/mentors, and provides a full range of community, cultural, and health and well being activities. We have participation from nursery levels, through to elite level and purely social. We have strong partnerships and make our facilities available cross-community, to charities, community organisations and our local schools.

We are addressing current demand and future proofing for generations to come... Inadequate facilities have been limiting factors for decades. The Club currently operates a multi-facility strategy on four separate sites in the Warrenpoint area. This does not meet current demand let alone ongoing growth.
To help address the challenges we have raised and spent over £1 Million buying land adjoining our core facility and developing a new field and safe entrance from the main road over the last number of years. With over £1 Million spent to date we have had to phase our development plans and need to complete essential works to facilitate opening of the new pitch.
The essential works, associated with this application , are critical to allowing the club / community to utilise the new pitch and to also ensure that the existing changing rooms remain operational.
We need safety fencing, a retaining wall, scoreboard and dug-outs to complete the current phase of our development - namely the new pitch.
Our development plans include provision for new changing facilities in the future. However, the present priority is a replacement septic tank for our existing changing rooms to ensure that the current and new pitch can both function in the interim.
Much has been achieved but we need your support to finish this phase (new pitch and entrance) and ensure essential works to existing changing facilities.
You are asked to join the collective club team to ensure the delivery of this exciting project to future proof the club.

The money raised here will be spent directly and without delay (under our proven strong governance model) on our Moygannon facility enabling an immediate impact and usage and facilitate the opening of the new pitch and operation of current changing rooms.
All work will be overseen by our professional consultancy team and experienced volunteer project team.

CPN is an award-winning Club for its activities and holds the highest standard of club governance accreditation. It operates under a philosophy of providing for whole of family for whole of life with activities extending from nursery age to pensioners and encompassing sport, culture, well-being, education and community focused outputs.
CPN has an extensive Social Capital input with 127,200 hours donated voluntarily to the community over the past year (£1,272,000 Social Capital, assuming £10 per hour) and this civic spirit underpins local regeneration.

CPN is involved heavily in the Warrenpoint community providing everything from fitness classes, walking club, social activities, music, dance, culture, charitable outputs as well as organised and social sport.
Our facilities are open to all and are used by disparate groups such as charities, weight watchers, judo, cycling and running clubs as well as the wider community for functions.
Our deep community roots underpinned our self generated funds to date of over £1 Million capital spend (independent of annual operating costs) all of which is delivered on a voluntary basis and this project is key to crystallising that good work and closing out a major new resource and good news story.
