We will publicise these on Facebook over the next few weeks, plus we will update on this page as we receive new donations.

Our Project
As some of you will already know Comann Eachdraidh Eirisgeidh (Eriskay Historical Society) is a voluntary, community-led organisation working to preserve and share the history, Gaelic language and culture of Eriskay.
This fundraiser is towards the redevelopment of the former Eriskay School into Ionad Eilean na h-Òige, a new heritage centre and community hub for the island.
For many people in Eriskay, the old school is a building full of memories, so it is lovely to see it being given a new purpose. Once completed, it will provide a permanent home for our archives, photographs, artefacts, songs and stories, as well as somewhere for exhibitions, talks, events and learning.
Most importantly, we want it to be a place that local people can use and enjoy, somewhere to meet, socialise, learn, share stories and keep our island’s heritage alive.
We currently have a 300k funding gap, which we are working hard on, so that we have the full funding in place for phase 3 which we hope to go out to tender early 2027.
The money raised from this prize draw will go towards these costs, helping us get closer to opening the doors of Ionad Eilean na h-Òige in 2028.
So, as well as having the chance to win one of our brilliant prizes, your entry will be helping us create something that we hope will be part of Eriskay for many years to come.
