Please help this wonderful, small, old school festival continue to protect and build on what we have been devoted to for so many years.
The old Alchemy Festival crew had been left in a difficult situation and have come together to continue with what we all believe is a beautiful thing.
Where else do all the the tribes come together and celebrate? Didn't we put on the best party in the universe??!
We have received no money at all from any previous 2016 ticket sales to Alchemy Festival Ltd....indeed, we didn't even get paid for our months of hardwork last year when Alchemy 'disappeared', leaving families in personal financial difficulty, as well as those who had bought tickets to an event that no longer existed, out of pocket and without the festival that was for many, the highlight of their year.
The crew have now founded a new, not for profit company of their own, Medieval Chemistry Ltd, and started their own festival under the name of Equinox-we have traditionally always gathered as close to the Autumn Equinox as possible.

They plan to build it for everyone, as it was always intended by them to be:
A meeting of tribes, a place for everybody to come and get involved in a clash of creativity, an all welcoming, family-friendly, inexpensive end to the Summer.....for the people, not for profit!
All funds are going directly into the festival, not to shareholders.
The previous festival had a wonderful reputation for being one of the very few 'old school' festivals left in the country- with fireshows, heritage and healing areas, diverse music and entertainment, offering a wide variety of new skills to be learnt, education and work oppurtunities for all and new friendships to be found and forged in ways that just don't happen in everyday life anymore.
It's those friendships and wonderful memories that have carried us all through the last six months together and deserve to survive what had happened for all the innocent parties concerned.
Funds and grants are being applied for to help us in our cause, and the festival is viable even without these ...although we'd like to offer everyone a lot more and build on the previous festival's reputation on providing a wide range of free activities! All our children's workshops and activities are free, meaning all children have access and the majority of the adults workshops are free too.
Funding bids take time though, we are selling tickets to our event and giving complementary passes to as many as we are able to help who lost money to Alchemy Festival Ltd when they purchased tickets after the festival last year but we will not use money from our ticket sales for our early expenses and risk our supporters being disappointed again.
We also have donation pots on our ticketing page, but feel we need to generate more awareness of our cause if we are going to meet our goals.
The cost of getting this new venture going is high, and we are starting at a point in this first year with the funds that would normally be in place for the usual preparation, gone.
We are all working as volunteers, giving our time and energy for free to give Equinox the best start we possibly can, but need to crowdfund in order to meet immediate costs to prepare the land ready for the festival which must be done many months in advance of September, and the earlier we have this done, the easier and less costly in the long run it will be.
If you ever attended the previous event we worked on, you will know what an amazing, special place was created for that weekend each year and what a void will be left by it's absence. If you've never been- please donate/ buy a ticket, and come join us this year!
