We need your support to help showcase the Epiphoni Consort and Owain Park's music.
Epiphoni aspires to the highest professional standards and to continually explore new repertoire and concert formats. With no guaranteed regular funding and ticket sales not always covering the full cost of our artistic endeavours, our supporters provide vital assistance to ensure we can pursue exciting and novel projects and development opportunities.
From day one, Epiphoni has championed new music and living composers. We now have an exciting opportunity to create the second recording on the market dedicated to Owain Park's works.
Owain Park is an award-winning composer, fast gaining international recognition, with performances and commissions by Tenebrae, Voces8, BBC Singers and Aurora Orchestra and more. We’re excited by the freshness and accessibility of Owain’s music, and we are delighted to be building a reputation for Epiphoni as advocates of new music, collaborating with and supporting emerging composers in their development.
We are partnering again with Delphian Records, a champion of bringing exposure to new British composers. Delphian’s superior approach comes at a cost, and this is why we need funding. Epiphoni prides itself on what it can and has achieved as a largely self-funded performing group, using ticket sales, external hires and our Friends scheme to raise funds for the choir. However, from time to time, special opportunities arise where although the broader benefits are great, the upfront investment is significant, making it hard to self-fund these kinds of projects in their entirety.
This project is a considerable undertaking for the choir and we would be very grateful for your support to help cover the costs of a professional recording so that we can showcase Owain Park's music and the Epiphoni Consort.
