Please help us help others at end of life by ensuring we have the equipment and facilities to be contactable, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
End of Life Doula UK provides support to individuals with a life-limiting illness and their loved ones. Our support is available from point of diagnosis, through to the final months, and beyond to funeral planning and support with grief. Our team of fully trained and experienced Doulas work throughout the UK.
In order to provide our service to those who need it, we ensure we are available 24/7 through telephone or email contact, so that anyone, at any hour, can access the support they need. This offering of initial contact and a conversation is free and is currently operating through the volunteering of our team’s personal time and equipment, however with us experiencing a significant increase in the volume of incoming referrals (up 51% in comparison to the previous year) we are in need of an updated system to ensure we can keep up with this demand.
To ensure we are able to continue providing timely support to those contacting us, we require a more efficient and centralised IT and telephony system. We plan to have a central team of Doulas co-managing our referral system, with auto-directed calls through a hunt group service. This will ensure that all incoming calls are responded to when a person reaches out and the support needed is provided. A new streamlined system means that less time will be wasted on managing our existing and out of date processes which means we will be able to devote more of our time to meeting the needs of those seeking our support.
