Aim

Eoghan Rua Coleraine is raising funds for equipment for a new indoor gym facility.

Who are we?

Eoghan Rua Coleraine is a community hub (registered Community Amateur Sports Club ) where people come together to play Gaelic games, celebrate culture, and build friendships. Our purpose is to promote sport, health, and pride in local identity. It’s entirely run by volunteers with no salaried staff and open to everyone to join.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Today’s game is faster, stronger, and more demanding than ever — and strength and conditioning are no longer optional if we want our players to reach their best potential a new facility with the appropriate equipment to suit players and members of all age groups. This facility will give local players and members the chance to train, grow, and compete at the highest level, while creating a space the whole community can be proud of and make better use of during the winter months.

As a club we are dedicated to developing people through team sports, especially young people, and providing facilities for people of every age group and ability to be able to participate, enjoy and perform sport and physical activity.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Funds raised will go directly towards kitting out a modern indoor training facility at Eoghan Rua GAA. The gym will enable teams to train collectively with the appropriate equipment for strength & conditioning training to support all age groups. The funds used will enable us to purchase the appropriate equipment before the playing season 2026 and a well-equipped gym will signal our continued commitment to athletic excellence, making the club more appealing to talented recruits and to keeping our members more healthy.

This project will leave a community legacy by creating a lasting space that promotes health, fitness, and connection—supporting future generations of athletes, inspiring community pride, and serving as a hub for wellness and growth.

Community impact

An indoor facility at Eoghan Rua will boost player development, promote health and fitness, engage youth, and provide a year-round hub for the whole community.

Our new gym project will boost fitness, prevent injuries, and support healthy lifestyles. It will help keep everyone engaged in our sport year-round, improves performance on the pitch, and creates an inclusive space for all ages. More than a gym, it’s a hub for community, wellbeing, and lifelong activity.
