Solar Ice Cream Trike - Dundee

About the project

Dundee is quickly becoming Scotland's main centre for renewable energy and technology. We believe an environmentally freindly, socially responsible mobile chilled snacks business would be a benefit to Dundee and its community. 

We have designed a solar, battery and human powered mobile chilled snacks kiosk. Using the solar panel on the canopy of the trike to charge our battery banks, so we only have to use minimal national grid power. The trike will also have an electric assist motor with a top speed of 15mph which we feel is a must so that we can serve the less flat areas of Dundee.

We have sourced a perfect tricycle and all the equipment we will need to complete the project. We have done all necassery power requirement calculations and have created a professional 3D design.

The trike will be travelling around Dundee this summer delivering luxurious ice cream and frozen snacks to the residents and families of Dundee, aswell as attending events in your local area.

Also we will have low and no sugar alternatives for diabetics and healthy eaters, and most of our stock will be gluten free.

Our Menu:

Luxurious locally produced ice creams - Choice of cone or tub

Sorbets 

Packaged frozen snacks - eg Magnum, Solero

Milkshakes - Rasberry, Chocolate and Vanilla

Slushies - Blue and Red

Ice cold drinks 

We have also set up a wireless card payment machine so not only will we accept cards, we will be able to text or email a receipt to a customer to help save the trees :)
