On Saturday 5th April 2025, members of Enville Cricket Club will attempt to take on and complete The National Three Peaks Challenge… in 24 hours!!!!!
Covering 23 miles with a total ascent of 3064 metres… The National Three Peak Challenge involves climbing the Three highest peaks of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scaffell Pike) and Wales (Snowden).
But why I hear you ask???
Enville Cricket Club prides itself on its great history and proud heritage. In particular our Youth cricket section, which dates back to 1971 where the club was playing regular matches at Under 13s and Under 18s. From then on regular youth cricket has taken place. Many of the players who represent the club today at senior level have at some point represented the club at youth level, a fact we are particularly proud of!
We are actively fundraising and seeking sponsorship to allow the club to improve training facilities, provide youth cricket kit, quality coaching and most importantly to provide a platform where young persons can learn the game we love and develop and grow as young athletes and as people too.
To allow us to do this we need your help. Any donation no matter how big or small will go a long way to helping us achieve our goal. To build a club where not only youngsters but cricketers from all corners can feel welcomed, valued and supported.
