Aim: We wish to upgrade our practice nets to a first class standard, for all members, young and old, befitting for a historic club like Enville!
Enville Cricket Club prides itself on its great history and proud heritage. In particular our Youth cricket section, which dates back to 1971 where the club was playing regular matches at Under 13s and Under 18s. From then on regular youth cricket has taken place. Many of the players who represent the club today at senior level have at some point represented the club at youth level, a fact we are particularly proud of!
Since then we have also created a very successful ladies section and expanded our senior Saturday teams to 4! All of these teams, young and old, will need an upgraded state of the art training facility to use. This is where you come in!
On behalf of Enville Cricket Club, Thank you.
We are actively fundraising and seeking sponsorship to allow the club to improve the practice net facilities. This will not only provide a platform where our young members can learn the game we love but also develop and grow as young athletes and as people too.
To allow us to do this we need your help. Any donation no matter how big or small will go a long way to helping us achieve our goal. To build a club where not only youngsters but cricketers from all corners can feel welcomed, valued and supported.
This £7,500 is the final part of the money raised for the upgrade of the practice nets. Once we reach this target work can begin on the upgrade!
These practice nets will not only serve the many sections of the Club, but will allow new members to come and use a first class facility. The ground is hired by numerous schools and county teams, who not only play matches but will use these nets for practice too.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
